It's Something

about

The pandemic hit. It hit us all. All in different ways. But it hit. And when it did, I wrote this song (there are others too, but right now it's time for this one). The first time I played it, I felt every damn part of it. It reminded me that something will always be there if you keep your eyes and ears open. And then the parts just kept coming. Melodies, riffs, layers and layers. It took me on a journey. I hope it takes you on one as well. It was made for something. It was made for you (and me).

Oh! As far as the artwork goes... Delta is the symbol for change. My friend Adam taught me that one day, while we sat in his garage and talked during a downpour. I often use my hands when I talk and I tend to make a lot of triangles (delta). That's something too. Embrace it or fight it, change is gonna come.

lyrics

"It’s Something" by Brion Riborn (c) Etymbiotic Music [ASCAP]

I feel that I was made for something
it’s something that I cannot place
Yeah, I could do it all for nothing
or just give up and fade away

But there’s a fever in my bones
and it seems to call me home
to something

Now my lungs have gotten weak
God, I hope this is the peak

I know that you were made for something
I know you feel it in your heart
What do you do when you have fallen?
You get back up and make a start

There’ll be trials and there’ll be pain
but if there’s one thing that remains
it’s something

Now open up your weary eyes
so you can finally see outside
There’s light!

It’s something
